Preparing for retirement
The choices are your to make! It is more important than ever, for today’s generation to start saving for retirement. More and more working class people are finding it hard to save money. They are busy starting a family, buying a home and getting on with the chores of living. It is very hard to commit to planning for your future, when all the income is required to pay the increasing cost of housing, children’s daycare, food, transportation. The rising cost of oil products is making its contribution in the robbery of our after tax dollars. You must be vigilant and cautious regarding your plans for the future. The baby boomers are enjoying a much better quantity of expendable cash than their parents. This population was lucky enough to hear about, and to some point, experience a depression. This may have been motivation enough to get this generation thinking about the importance of saving early. It is most vital to start saving early and reaping the benefits of compound interest. If you can only save a small amount at a time, you must do it when you are young to take advantage of what time will do for your investment. The majority of the people work in the business of manufacturing, marketing, or other enterprise in exchange for wages. If you are lucky, you will be forced to enroll in a company sponsored pension plan. Don’t think you will not get old when you are faced with this decision to join up. Thirty years come very fast, especially for those who are not prepared. Now, for the baby boomers that are reaching retirement age, get scared! DO NOT! You must get prepared to retire “to something else”. Do not make the mistake of retiring from 30 to 40 years of designed existence, to retreat to a rocking chair. You must take control of your last few years on this planet and make a difference in your life and the life of your loved ones. There are preretirement seminars accessible to help you prepare for this occasion. Life is about choices. Accept the responsibility for the choices you have made during your lifetime. Develop some passion in your life. Live with no regrets. Get involved in society. It is time to pass on your wisdom and prepare to leave your legacy!
